These pictures come from a beautifully illustrated book called Mythological Japan: The Symbolisms of Mythology in Relation to Japanese Art by Alexander F. Otto and Theodore S. Holbrook , published by Drexel Biddle in 1905. The pictures are drawn by native Japanese artists.
